How many people were on the Titanic? How many people are alive today? How many more people will be alive tomorrow? The numbers can make you feel small and helpless. The truth is that the vast majority of the questions we ask don’t matter.
It could be that the numbers are meaningless, but I think they are meaningful and worth pondering. For instance, it’s an interesting question how many people perished on the Titanic. The numbers are extremely small and meaningless because there weren’t very many people on either ship. So the actual numbers that you hear about are meaningless.
I think it’s a great question because if the number of dead is meaningless, imagine how much more people would have died if we had a different number. Instead of thousands, we might be seeing millions. So the numbers are very meaningful and worth thinking about.
While there’s no reason to believe that Titanic sunk, let’s just assume that there were thousands, tens of thousands, and millions of people on that boat. But imagine the thousands dying because of a ship that was built with a lot more strength than its cargo. In a way, the Titanic story is a great example of how we can learn a lot about important issues by looking at something small and insignificant.
Of course, Titanic was so important that it still holds up pretty well for us today, but it would be nice if there was a good reason to think that the Titanic sank. In some cases, there is. When the Titanic sank, the people who died on the ship were not just a loss to history, but a loss to humanity.

But then again, they probably had a few people on the Titanic who weren’t members of the crew either. Maybe they were extras or something. But if you think about it, the only thing that would prevent that from happening is if the people on the Titanic were actually in the water.
We know that there’s some other people that were on the ship, but what we don’t understand is who they are. The people that were on the Titanic are our main target here, so we need to figure out who they are and what they’re doing. Maybe they’re in the water as well.
